Not Implausible These Days

In order to recruit for the Homeless and Runaway Shelter Volunteer Club at the Elementary School (recruiting volunteers, not runaways), we decide to gather all the school clubs together and announce their names to see who wants to join ours. Somehow that makes sense because we can see who is only in one club or something? Also peer pressure.

After calling a bunch of club names and having about 20 kids total join us, one really pale little kid stands up angrily and screams, "What about club Hydra?" So the announcer apologizes and announces this thing called Club Hydra that doesn't exist as the kid stands up and angrily joins us. Several of us teachers murmur to each other "Isn't Hydra, like, actual Nazis?" and "We don't want the Nazi kid!" and "Does he not know?"

Dreamed on 2014.10.11.0828 Note: Play "sometimes our dreams float like anchors" by William Elliott Whitmore in the background (it was stuck in my head when I woke up). At a large party with people. Agnostic Dog Slugs and an Idiot King

Dreamed on 2014.02.08.0852 People letting their dogs out everywhere, mostly on leashes. Our dog (not Bee, some kind of papillon silliness) looks super friendly, but is super scared of all other dogs and will bite them in the face. I try to explain this to people -- it's not a behavior, but a specific disorder that she has -- but they keep saying it won't be a problem and getting their dogs too close. I manage to keep them away until one without a leash runs up, so I pick up our dog and run away. Then, suddenly, every waterspout in the field turns on and there is nowhere to stay dry. The dog and her companion are next to me and rather than being dogs, now they are something aquatic -- like blue sea slugs (glaucus atlanticus) -- and they can talk. We discuss the meaning of the word agnostic and the philosophy of uncertainty, until my brother (not my real life brother, but I'm not real-life me either) comes up and says we're late to swear fealty to the king. neither rocks nor blue water

Dreamed on 2014.10.25.1415 Climbing up steep cliffside which eventually gives way to a lattice-work of logs and branches, some more secure than others. I know there is a cave ahead of me on the other side of the log-mesh I'm climbing, but beneath me there is whitewater so white that I can see neither rocks nor blue water, but rushing whiteness that might as well be cloud. I know that to fall would be to fall for many ages, and that I must have sure footing as I pick my way onward.
