neither rocks nor blue water

Dreamed on 2014.10.25.1415 Climbing up steep cliffside which eventually gives way to a lattice-work of logs and branches, some more secure than others. I know there is a cave ahead of me on the other side of the log-mesh I'm climbing, but beneath me there is whitewater so white that I can see neither rocks nor blue water, but rushing whiteness that might as well be cloud. I know that to fall would be to fall for many ages, and that I must have sure footing as I pick my way onward.

Dreamed on 2014.04.15.0620 Ian and I struggling to walk from the outpost at the very north pole to iceland over great ice sheets, etc. BEAUTiful landscapes. Rather dangerous and hard to navigate with just a map and a compass though. We almost turn back after one of the nights a large group of us spend at the old remains of an old burnt out hotel because the wind is so strong that nobody can think. Literally, no one could think. There was this one guy just standing with a blank look on his face and staring while leaning into the wind, and I was like, "Hey! Hey man!" and he didn't respond. When I went around the corner I saw Ian huddling there all depressed at what was happening, but we talked and decided we could do the journey together just the two of us. It was something of a competition, so we left the others behind.
